The Stakes are High

As a health care provider and public health expert, I will fight for common sense health care reform that puts the community's health before profit.  The COVID-19 crisis has shown us that we must do more to protect our most vulnerable communities.

As someone who has worked inside the healthcare and insurance system, I am well positioned to know how we can work with our current system to move us all forward.

For a Better Future

I will ensure that we adequately fund our public schools so that the teachers have the resources they need to be able to do their jobs.  I am a proponent of the Wisconsin Idea where research should be applied to solve problems and improve health, quality of life, the environment, and agriculture for all citizens of the state.

This philosophy builds a better future for all of us and attracts talented minds to Wisconsin.

Getting People Back to Work Safely

As we manage the effects of this pandemic, it's important to open up businesses safely where companies provide protections for their workers and the consumers who frequent their businesses.

As a former Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer with the CDC, I believe we can gradually open up businesses safely.  But we must not prioritize profit over the health and safety of vulnerable members in our community.

As a legislator, I would be happy to work with local businesses where we make data-based decisions on how to manage this unprecedented health and economic crisis.
